A collection of exercises for developing and strengthening the Will has been posted on Scribd.com. The editor has chosen to name the collection Thelema Exercises, which will likely cause confusion with Thelema, the religion founded by Aleister Crowley. However, the Will is a central theme in the religion of Thelema, so Thelemites may find the exercises of interest to them also.
The choice of the world Thelema is at least partially useful, as will English is confusing with more than one meaning. Thelema, from Greek θέλημα, was historically used to for the “appetitive will”, which fits with the likes of E. Boyd Barrett’s use of the term will, and early Christian writings sometimes used the word to refer to the will of God and the human will.
The current version listed on this text is 0.2 and the release date was 4 December 2009, suggesting that there will be future updates to this volume in the future.
